MEET, MINGLE, AND CONNECT

NACCHO Annual is one-of-a-kind learning and networking opportunity for local health officials and their public health partners from all regions of the nation to share perspectives and engage in dialogue on key issues in public health practice.

NACCHO members say that one of the greatest benefits of membership is the informal networking that NACCHO Annual provides. Make the most of the networking opportunities by attending the following events:

  • First-time attendees and new members are invited to a special networking breakfast. Come and meet fellow members, learn more about the benefits your NACCHO membership, and foster new relationships.
  • Kick off the conference by joining your colleagues at the President's Welcome Reception. View products and services offered by nearly 100 exhibitors in a festive and welcoming atmosphere.
  • The Grand Awards Ceremony & Reception is a great time to meet, mingle, and celebrate this year's Model and Promising Practices winners, the Local Health Departments of the Year, and the 2017 Mo Mullet awardee.

This year, we've added even more learning opportunities to the schedule. Plan to arrive on Monday, July 10 to take advantage of the pre-conference sessions on Tuesday morning. Stay through Friday, July 14 and participate in the post-conference sessions.

10 Reasons to attend NACCHO Annual 2017

Become a Member: There is Value in Belonging

"The NACCHO Annual Conference provides an effective balance between accessible size and focus of content that is specific to the governmental public health practitioner. As a health commissioner of a smaller health department, I must realize a return on my investment of very limited resources. The exposure to innovative ideas and practical skill sets are among the returns I find with NACCHO." –Tom Quade, Health Commissioner, Marion (OH) Public Health Department

2017 Michigan Recycling Coalition Conference & Governor's Recycling Summit

-

What’s the big deal about recycling?

Join us to find out!

The next two years are critical for recycling in Michigan. With an eye toward economic development and environmental stewardship, Michigan communities, businesses, industry and institutions are actively seeking information, contacts, and advice about best end-of-life materials management practices that will enable them to meet their own and collective recycling and sustainability goals. The Michigan Recycling Coalition Annual Conference provides information, education, tours, training, and networking opportunities for hundreds of public and private sector professionals across the state.

The Department of Environmental Quality will also host the Governor’s Recycling Summit in conjunction with the MRC’s 35th Annual Conference. Check out the complete program for the 2017 Michigan Recycling Coalition Conference & Governor’s Recycling Summit, the largest showcase for and gathering about recycling issues in Michigan.

Learn more at the events about the recent Governor’s Recycling Council and Solid Waste and Sustainability Advisory Panel reports and recommendations released on Monday.

Learn about bringing sustainability goals to life, why and how to expand composting from yard waste to food waste, how to make the choice to recycle easy, how to sell recycling, how to plan for good program and progress, how to use analytics to understand your audience, understand the impact of recycling and composting markets on programs, and so much more.

Meet recycling and composting service providers in our Exhibition Hall and join us for the great networking events we have planned.
