National Immunization Policy
NACCHO Policies
The Immunization Work Group of the National Association of City and County Health Officials (NACCHO) is a group of individuals working in local immunization programs to provide a forum for discussing policy development, sharing relevant news updates, exchanging information and experiences, and developing tools for immunization programs and local health departments.
NACCHO has multiple policy statements on immunization issues such as vaccine safety, third party billing, immunization information systems, and increasing vaccination rates. ASTHO State Policy Tracking
ASTHO’s State Health Policy team tracks and analyzes legislation across the states to identify trends and emerging issues impacting public health and state health agencies. Real-time state legislative tracking on select issues is available on our website. Vaccinations, as well as Antimicrobial Resistance and Healthcare Associated Infections, are two of the areas being tracked.

Every Child by Two
Every Child by Two is a nonprofit organization which supports immunization and efforts to reduce vaccine preventable diseases. ECBT’s position statements and policies reflect their stance on key immunization topics that the board has identified as needing explanation, justification or recommendation. All statements can be downloaded free of charge, however written permission is required to republish excerpts from or full text of ECBT’s documents. Contact info@ecbt.org to obtain permission.
Infectious Disease Society of America
The Infectious Disease Society of America develops policies on a number of immunization topics including a) strengthening programs and vaccine research and development, b) adult and adolescent immunization and c) health care worker immunization.

This is the web site of ProCon and has a table of states immunizations laws and whether they allow medical, religious and philosophical exemptions. It has links to pdfs of the various state statutes. It also has a page for day care requirements and exemptions.
