COVID-19- Sewing Face Masks Response and Pattern

Details about making/delivering fabric masks for our community and first responders in response to COVID-19:
• The pattern is courtesy of Phoebe Putney Health Systems
• Remember both women and men in a variety of roles may wear these masks
• When your masks are complete, drop-off at the Kalamazoo County Health & Community Services Department (311 E. Alcott St., Kalamazoo, MI 49001) Monday through Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 pm.
• Collected masks will be immediately sent to laundry/processing to be prepared for usage.

ANNOUNCING U-M INJURY PREVENTION CENTER 2019 EXPLORATORY PROJECT RFA

Injury is the leading cause of death for people 1 to 44 years old and the leading cause of potential years of life lost in the U.S. Successful approaches to decrease the burden of injury require innovation. The focus of the U-M Injury Prevention Center Exploratory Project awards is on building capacity in injury research in the region.

The U-M Injury Prevention Center (IPC) anticipates funding two one-year exploratory project awards in 2020 that have the greatest potential to advance injury prevention science.
