With a strong history in tradition, the Oakland University Nightingale Awards for Nursing Excellence® has applauded the constant advancement of nursing through the work of outstanding professionals. For three decades, this has been a night to acknowledge and strengthen the Michigan nursing community.

The 2024 Nightingale Awards Nomination Period will be open November 1, 2023 through January 31, 2024.

27th Annual Michigan Rural Health Conference: Call for Presentations

Proposals are welcomed for 30 and 60-minute presentations that are interactive, creative, dynamic, feature best practices in rural health, and will encompass this year’s theme:

The Ripple Effect: Ideas into Action.

The presentation time frame will include introductions, presentation material, and time for questions and answers.

Michigan Public Health Week 2024 - Nominations Open for the Annual Hometown Health Hero Award! Due Jan 31, 2024

The Michigan Public Health Week Partnership (Partnership)* invites you to nominate someone for the Hometown Health Hero award. The Hometown Health Hero award is presented every year to individuals and/or organizations that have made significant and measurable contributions to preserve and/or improve the health of their community. Awardees are selected solely from nominations received. The only way for someone to receive this award is to be nominated. These awards will be presented on April 10, 2024, as part of Public Health Week in Michigan.
