MALPH and other public health partners are conducting a Cross Jurisdictional Sharing Project for FY2018, utilizing resources from MDHHS. Among other components, the project supports training for recently appointed public health leadership (defined as less than three years in a leadership position), including local health officers, deputy health officers, PIOs, and medical directors, as well as directors of nursing, finance, emergency preparedness, environmental health, and health education.
Comprehensive Training for Senior Public Health Leadership, Upper Peninsula Local Health Departments
Using existing guidance, as well as information gleaned from MALPH Forums and a Steering Workgroup, training priorities for public health leadership have been identified.
