Town Hall: Reducing the Impact of COVID-19 on Racial and Ethnic Minority Communities

Please join the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services’ (MDHHS) Public Health Administration and Office of Equity and Minority Health for a virtual COVID-19 town hall for community organizations that provide services to racial and ethnic minorities.

The MDHHS Chief Deputy for Health and Chief Medical Executive Dr. Joneigh Khaldun and other experts will speak about what the department is doing to respond to the crisis and provide important information about reducing the impact of COVID-19 on Michigan’s racial and ethnic minority communities. Attendees will have the opportunity to pose questions or concerns to our panel of speakers on topics including:

  • Reinforcing health and safety messaging related to COVID-19
  • Information aimed at minimizing the impact of COVID-19 on racial and ethnic communities
  • Local, state and federal partnerships for addressing COVID-19
  • Highlighting community-level concerns related to COVID-19
