Who We Are: The Michigan Community of Practice (CoP) on Cultural and Linguistic Competence (CLC) in Developmental Disabilities (DD), was established in 2017. The purpose was to transform the state DD system with the vision to change values, policies, structures, practices and respond effectively to the multiple cultural identities within the community of people with DD and their families.

Summit Purpose: To meet and engage potential new partners, stimulate learning from one another, and explore opportunities for collaboration among organizations that support people and communities who have been marginalized systems and institutions. The Community Alliance Summit is a 3-part virtual event designed to engage attendees through informing, discovering, and envisioning working together to support people and communities.
