MALPH Crisis Communication VIRTUAL Training

Over the past two years, many local public health professionals and governmental staff got hands-on crisis communications experience. This session will dissect crises like an organism – what they are, how they start, key components of every crisis, and how to manage communications throughout long and short crises to an effective conclusion.  This session will include a group ‘hotwash’ (key takeaways and lessons learned) of the COVID-19 pandemic in Michigan, and a discussion of what needs to be in place to best prepare everyone for the next crisis – whatever that may be.
