The County Health Rankings rate counties across the nation on the overall health of their citizens and the factors that are influencing health. The rankings draw attention to the fact that the health of our residents in Michigan is strongly determined by more than just a healthcare system, but more so by health-related behaviors, socioeconomic status, and a community’s physical environment. Or, simply put, social determinants of health. Join us for a presentation on how local health departments utilize these rankings to improve health outcomes in their community.
