This position functions as the recognized resource for the Powers and Duties program within Michigan’s Local Public Health Accreditation Program, including quality assurance, and conducting site visits for the program. This position drives continuous quality improvement of the Powers and Duties program and is responsible for all reporting to the Michigan Local Public Health Accreditation Program Accreditation Commission about the Program. Additional responsibilities include training, providing information, and creating templates and materials for other reviewers within the Division. This position provides information to the Senior Deputy, Bureau Director, Division Director, and Section Manager using available information and data in preparation for site visits to local health departments and as requested. This position is responsible for Health Officer and Medical Director credentialling recommendations based on Administrative Rules, providing technical assistance, and conducting contract management using the EGrAMS system. Acts as a liaison with other agencies, organizations, and employees to coordinate departmental programs responsive to emerging health threats.
