Under the supervision of the Health Education and Promotion Supervisor, is responsible for promoting and maintaining the Community Health Agency’s health programs and completing outreach activities throughout the District. Participates in community collaborative efforts to improve community health outcomes by assisting individuals, agencies, and communities to adopt healthy behaviors. Collects and analyzes data to identify community needs. Plans, coordinates, and implements, programs designed to encourage healthy lifestyles, policies and environments. Promotes the visibility and awareness of the Agency through marketing, communications, and social media. Supports policies, systems, and environmental changes.
Employment Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's Degree in health education or related field
Experience & Required Skills:
- One or more years of experience in health education and/or health programming. The Community Health Agency, at its discretion, may consider an alternative combination of formal education and work experience.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Strong computer skills, including use of Canva and Microsoft Office
- Skill in media relations and the use of social media.
- Skill in developing educational materials, assembling data, preparing comprehensive and accurate reports and making service recommendations.
- Skill in effectively communicating ideas and concepts orally and in writing, and making presentations in public forums.
- Develops and maintains cooperative working relationships with agencies and organizations.
- Ability to critically assess situations and solve problems, and to work effectively under stress, within deadlines, changes in work priorities, and in emergency situations.
- May work in multiple facilities and counties, necessitating travel across the jurisdiction.
- May work on weekends and/or hours outside of normal business hours.
Special Requirement: Must have a valid Driver’s License, proof of automobile insurance and reliable transportation, as work-related travel within the jurisdiction is required.
Salary and Fringe Benefits:
This is a full-time position in Coldwater, 37.5 hours per week with a starting wage of $25.73 per hour.
