Blue Cross will host the 12th annual, invitation-only safety net symposium in person this year. The event will take place on Thursday, October 13 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Crowne Plaza hotel in Lansing. Leaders of Michigan free clinics, Federally Qualified Health Centers, Rural Health Centers, hospitals, public health providers and other safety net health care organizations are invited to attend.
The symposium brings together more than 250 individuals in charge of Michigan’s safety net health care organizations. They’ll reconvene to focus on strengthening partnerships and responding to community voices. Participants will learn about what has changed and is changing in safety net health care, including within the safety net environment, Medicaid, behavioral health care and more.
Healthy Safety Net Symposium 2022 will apply for approval to offer continuing education contact hours for Social Workers and Nurses.
