Food Law and Michigan Modified FDA Food Code

MDARD Food and Dairy Division is offering an in-person MDARD course on Food Law and Michigan Modified FDA Food Code for new employees to the Food Program. There is no charge for this course.

Prerequisites: Prior to attending this class Local Health Department and MDARD attendees are encouraged, but not required, to complete the following:

• Recommended ORA-University courses; and
• Twenty-five joint inspections with their Standardized Trainer; and
• Study Annexes 4 and 5 of the 2009 FDA Food Code.

Course Date: This two-day, in-person course will provide training of the Food Law and the 2009 Michigan Modified FDA Food Code. The course is designed for Local Health Department and MDARD food inspectors.

Note: Newberry is in the Upper Peninsula. Additional MDARD Food Law and Michigan Modified FDA Food Code courses will be offered in Southern Michigan in January-February 2024.
