The 2025 Rural & Ready Conference will be held September 24th and 25th at the Kewadin Casino in Sault Ste. Marie, MI. Wednesday, September 2th will feature a full day session, and Thursday, September 25th will be a morning session.
Rural & Ready is an interdisciplinary conference aimed at discussing emergency preparedness and response with a focus on rural settings. Conference topics include best practices, resource overviews, planning and response tactics, and real event case studies. The 2025 keynote will feature a response review and lessons learned from the 2023 East Palestine Train Derailment, provided by Jeff Kimble from the US Environmental Protection Agency.
