The Michigan Association for Local Public Health is committed to assisting Local Health Departments in providing high quality coordinated prevention and intervention services for the state's communities. In addition to Michigan Local Health Department's practices, national evidence-based public health resources are provided for public health employees to easily find and use the best evidence to develop and implement effective interventions, programs, and policies.
Task Force on Community Preventive Services - Community Guide to Preventive Services: Evidence-based Task Force recommendations and findings about what works to improve public health detailing the effectiveness, economic efficiency, and feasibility of interventions.
Centers for Disease Control and Prevention - Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report (MMWR) Recommendations and Reports: Published in-depth articles that outline policy statements for prevention and treatment on all areas in CDC's scope of responsibility.
U.S. Preventive Services Task Force - USPSTF Recommendations: Collection of summaries of evaluated clinical research assessing the merits of preventive measures including, screening tests, counseling, immunizations, and preventive medications. The list includes all recommendations active, inactive, and in progress.
